FrogWatch
Do you want to contribute to amphibian conservation in your community? Join the D.C. Department of Energy and Environment (DOEE) and Living Classrooms for our annual FrogWatch program. Volunteers collect and submit data on calling frogs and toads at streams, ponds, and wetlands in and around the District in the spring and summer.
Learn more about the program and access training materials on DOEE’s website here.
As part of the program, DOEE and Living Classrooms lead monthly field monitoring sessions on Kingman + Heritage Islands.

Volunteering with us?
If you’re already signed up for a Kingman volunteering session (FrogWatch, Invasive Removal, trash pickup, etc) and NOT a field trip, kayaking, or canoeing, here’s where you can fill out a waiver. The QR code and the link when you click on the form go to the same place!
Got a field trip or boating session coming up? Boating waivers can be found under the Green Boats page on the website, and field trip waivers will come from your school’s point of contact.
